Joseph Farah: Romney “most dangerous man in America . . . America’s toast.”

by Joel McDurmon on May 18, 2012

Joseph Farah of WND.com writing in 2010:

There is, however, someone in the Republican wings, a frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination, by any standard, who worries me sick.

His name is Mitt Romney.

If Mitt Romney were to become the next president, America would be done as an experiment in freedom. We would see this 235-year experiment in liberty perish before our eyes. That’s a guarantee.

What we need in 2012 is a president who is ready, willing and able to overturn all of Barack Obama’s misdeeds and then some. As president, Mitt Romney would ensure that would never happen. That’s his track record. He’s a Republican appeaser – even worse. He himself proudly instituted Obamacare in Massachusetts as governor. He still boasts about it today.

Mitt Romney is the most dangerous man in America today because he is the only GOP presidential contender about whom I can make such an unequivocal statement. If he wins, we lose. America’s toast.

Forget ‘gun control’; CSGV represents ‘genocide enablement lobby’ – St. Louis gun rights | Examiner.com

Readers of this column will notice that the term “gun control” is rarely used here, except in the ironic sense, within quotes.  This is because controlling guns is only the means to an end for what is more accurately referred to as the forcible citizen disarmament lobby.  The desired end is a meek, docile citizenry, not only unable to conceive of resistance against an out of control government, but utterly dependent on government for protection against any threat.

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) most starkly exemplifies this way of thinking, with their insistence on a “government monopoly on force,” which executive director Josh Horwitz claims is “the fundamental organizing principle of any political entity, including the United States.”  In support of that assertion, Horwitz cites Max Weber, whose Article 48 was absolutely indispensable in Hitler’s rise to power.  Interesting choice of influences, CSGV.

Apocalypse never: Newly discovered Mayan calendar disproves 2012

The world is not going to end on December 21. No, not even according to the Mayan calendar. And especially not according to the awesome newly uncovered Mayan calendar — the oldest known Mayan calendar in existence — which was recently discovered by Boston University archeologist William Saturno.

First glimpsed by an undergraduate student of Saturno’s in 2010, this new Mayan calendar was found buried at a well known Mayan archeology site in Guatemala. After first dismissing the value of the bit of paint spotted by his student, Saturno later went back to record the discovery, regardless of whether it had value. read more…

MADRID — At least 100,000 Spaniards angered by grim economic prospects and the political handling of the international financial crisis turned out for street demonstrations in the country’s cities Saturday, marking the one-year anniversary of a movement that inspired similar pressure groups in other countries. At least 100,000 march in Spain over austerity  | ajc.com.

Tens of thousands of protesters in Madrid flooded into the central Puerta del Sol plaza in the evening and aimed to stay for three days. But authorities warned they wouldn’t allow anyone to camp out overnight, and up to 2,000 riot police were expected to be on duty. At least 100,000 march in Spain over austerity  | ajc.com.

“I’m here to defend the rights that we’re losing and for the young people who have it so tough,” 57-year-old middle school teacher Roberto Alonso said. “They’re better educated than ever. But they don’t have work. They don’t have anything. They’re behind and they’ll stay that way.”

Romney’s lame response on bullying allegations – CNN.com

Romney’s lame response on bullying allegations – CNN.com.We sometimes liken the presidential campaign to an extended job interview, but it’s certainly unlike any job any of us has ever applied for. You’ve probably never gone into an interview where your prospective employer said, “Your résumé looks good, but of course we’ll have to decide if we like your spouse, go through your tax returns, talk to your elementary school classmates, see how you react when crazy people ask you bizarre questions, and make sure the car you drive communicates the proper patriotism and ordinary-guy credibility.” It isn’t enough to know whether a candidate can do the job well or whether his agenda accords with ours; we need to gaze into the very depths of his soul.

Bring On Less Democracy

Bring On Less Democracy. (full article)

“Is anybody else as depressed as I am about the next four years?

No matter who wins, we face the prospect of bitterly divided government, savage partisanship in Congress, and increasing executive desperation. Even if Republicans win the Senate and retain the House, they will not have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate; even if Obama holds on to the White House, he will face filibusters in the Senate and outright defiance in the House. A Congress that cannot deal with the tiny student-debt problem in orderly fashion is unlikely to be able to tackle big problems at all.

The response to legislative paralysis is, of course, executive aggrandizement. Charlie Savage of The New York Times laid out recently the turn by the Obama administration to executive authority as its means of governing the country. It’s entirely predictable; legislative fecklessness has led to Presidential power-grabbing for more than a century. And if Mitt Romney becomes President, he is already poised to follow the trend—witness his announcement that he will simply suspend the Affordable Care Act by executive order, a claim of prerogative that would, I suspect, make even John Yoo wince.”

Decayed Meat Treated With Carbon Monoxide To Make It Look Fresh At The Grocery

Most meat eaters may be unaware that more than 70% of all beef and chicken in the United States, Canada and other countries is being treated with poisonous carbon monoxide gas. It can make seriously decayed meat look fresh for weeks. The meat industry continues to allow this toxic gas injection into many of the meat products people consume on a daily basis. The question is, how many people have become ill by this chemically altered meat that is being sold to families all over the world?
